A Delegation of Teachers and Students from the"Belt and Road" Cooperative Country Visited Jinan Xinhang Experimental Foreign Language School

 

To fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's vision of "Belt and Road" cooperation, promote cultural exchanges with countries along the "Belt and Road," and strengthen international education collaboration, a delegation of 64 teachers and students from the"Belt and Road" cooperative country, including Wang Lulu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of International Education at Shandong University, Binba, Principal of Tsaihun Surguuli Darkhan,Mongolia, and Chen Xi, the leader of the Russian Chinese Teachers Training Program, visited our university on January 17th. The reception was warmly conducted by the university president, relevant department heads, and student volunteers.

In the Black Box Theater, a brief welcome ceremony was held. Leaders from both sides delivered speeches, exchanged commemorative gifts, and witnessed this moment of friendly exchange.

After the welcome ceremony, the delegation, guided by teachers and student volunteers, visited the infrastructure and exhibition area showcasing teaching achievements at the elementary school section, gaining a detailed understanding of the school's primary education. Subsequently, they toured the middle school section, high school section, student dormitories, reading bar, library and other areas, obtaining a more in-depth insight into the school's educational conditions and facilities.

After the conclusion of the tour, the delegation arrived at the second floor of our school's library. They participated in a carefully prepared Chinese language and culture class, presented by representatives of our school's Chinese, music, and art teachers. Through this session, visiting teachers and students gained a profound understanding of China's regional culture, including Jinan dialect, the distinctive features of New Hualian Experimental School, Chinese Spring Festival, learning ancient poetry through music and finger dancing, and hands-on experience in traditional Chinese arts such as calligraphy writing of the character "福" (blessing) and painting Weifang Yangjiabu New Year pictures.

The visit by the "Belt and Road" cooperative country delegation provided a rare opportunity for both sides to engage in meaningful exchanges and learning. This activity not only allowed the overseas teachers and students to gain a deeper understanding of China's national conditions and the internationalization of basic education but also enabled them to experience the unique charm and profound cultural heritage of China. They are poised to become friendly ambassadors who "know China, befriend China, and love China" in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road." This event has also enhanced teachers' and students' understanding of the "Belt and Road" initiative, emphasizing the importance of telling China's stories and spreading the voice of Chinese education. It serves as motivation for our school's teachers and students to continue progressing towards becoming international, well-rounded talents in the new era.
